EstiMate 2: Latest Update
New Version Available - EstiMate 2.2.1.19
What's new in this release?
This new release includes many features and fixes, detailed below. Overall it is recommended that all users download and install this new release.
- Fixed (33221) : Multi-User Server Lockups are solved! We had a few customers reporting the server locking up when they connected with more than about 5 users. The problem turned out to be that the session updates on the server had a smaller timeout than the overall query timeout - in other words, when someone was connected, and a connected copy of EstiMate tried to tell the server it was "still alive," *if* there was a timeout trying to do that, then the same copy of EstiMate would try to tell the server again before it had let go of trying to process the previous request. As a result the server would appear to "choke." This has been solved in this release.
- Added (33305) : Base design and production time now default to 0 minutes (but only for new installs of EstiMate).
- Added (33306) : Feature: when adding thermal or inkjet printers, if no print speeds are added before trying to save the printer, you will be told to add at least one print speed and directed to the "Additional Details" tab.
- Added (31036) : Top and bottom laminate have been added to the auto-description in the Wide Format Inkjet plugin.
- Added (30115) : When the toolbar ribbon is minimized, EstiMate now remembers that setting between sessions.
- Added (32919) : The drop down list of terms has been widened so they are easier to differentiate.
- Added (32834) : Minimized Jobs and Estimates now show the number first so they are easily identifiable.
- Added (33271) : If the multi-user server is already running on a local machine, there is a friendly error message now. In addition, if the multi-user server is running anywhere on the network, it will refuse to start on another machine.
- Added (33280) : The open list has been dramatically speeded up with performance optimizations.
- Added (33324) : The "manage templates" form now allows multiple selection.
- Added (33021) : When printing reports, after printing the print dialog stayed up. It closes itself now.
- Fixed (29390) : Made the licensing server strip "&" from all fields in the license data, not just company name
- Fixed (33285) : When calculating the tax amount of a line item group, there were conflicts with quantity discounts resulting in the tax being calculated on the full amount rather than the quantity discounted amount. This happened when a quantity discount was applied to the group as a whole, not the individual items.
- Fixed (33257) : Base production time was not properly added in to the RTA plugin calculations.
- Fixed (33209) : If "Track Estimate and Job Numbers separately" was checked in the system settings, and you manually changed the job number on a job screen, the next estimate number in sequence was also affected.
- Fixed (33295) : In rare instances the flatbed digital printing plugin would go into an infinite loop and lock up when calculating waste materials.
- Fixed (33308) : The job manifest was incorrectly reporting material SF in the vehicle wraps plugin.
- Fixed (33059) : The open estimates report still showed dollar amounts even when the box was unchecked.
- Fixed (33048) : When an export to QuickBooks failed, the jobs/estimates were inappropriately "marked as exported" inside EstiMate.
- Fixed (33044) : When printing customer mailing labels or lists, EstiMate had to be shut down and reopened or the report would show up as empty the second time it was printed.
- Fixed (33076) : When you blank out the sales tax in the "configure" screen of a plugin, it sometimes pulled in the system default when creating a new item using that plugin. EstiMate now honors the "blank" sales tax.
- Fixed (33078) : The work in progress grand total contained more than 2 decimal places (cosmetic).
- Fixed (33177) : The "default sales tax" setting was in the "Jobs" section of System Settings, making it unavailable to users of EstiMate Professional. It has been moved out of that section so EstiMate Professional users can set their default sales tax.
- Fixed (33201) : There was an A/V when trying to preview or print a work order with an ampersand (&) in the description.
- Fixed (33261) : Free Form items imported from EstiMate 1 had quantity discounts enabled in the background.
- Fixed (33232) : When line item groups were un-checked for printing, the tax was still calculated on them and included in the total sales tax on the printed estimate or invoice.
- Fixed (33243) : The copyright text to go on proof pages was not editable though it should have been.
- Fixed (33321) : In some cases, when creating a merge file to check your data back into your main shop database after having checked it out to work in the field, it would import as a checked out copy.
- Fixed (33323) : Templates with single quotes in their description failed to load from the database.
- Fixed (33219) : When adding a garment to the list in the Screen Printed Garments plugin, and immediately changing the quantity, it would not appear to "stick" in the editor.
- Fixed (33276) : Choosing the default method for charging your customer for waste materials in the Flatbed configuration screen did not apply that setting to the current, open line item but instead to future ones. Now it is immediately applied.
- Fixed (33298) : Sales Tax on Free Form Items imported from Version 1 was blanked out when the line item was opened for editing.
- Fixed (33300) : When selecting "do not charge customer for scrap" in the flatbed digital printing plugin, the cost for materials still reflected the total required sheets.
- Fixed (33304) : The Estimate to Job Conversion Report incorrectly reported some sub percentages.
- Fixed (33042) : Sales taxes have been sorted A-Z in the drop down lists inside the plugin forms.
- Fixed (32830) : When editing a retail item, the cost displayed as an integer (i.e. 123) instead of a dollar amount(i.e. $123.00)
