Quick and Easy Pricing Of Sandblasted Signs
You’ll find this plugin to be extremely easy to use even though it has a lot of behind-the-scenes pricing math going on.
First, you do the usual, selecting your blasting substrate (cedar, redwood, SignFoam)… and enter quantity, # of sides, width and height. That’s when it gets interesting.

The next steps are to select your sandblast mask and transfer tape (easily set up in the configuration sections so that they come up the same every time). Enter the amount of time you intend to spend prepping the substrate — cutting and shaping it, gluing, etc. Then indicate the primer, background paint, decorative paint, the level of detail of the job overall, and the number of coats for each paint.
Finally, if you are leafing the sign, select the type of leaf you’re using, the percent coverage of the sign, and the type of size you’re using.
As in all of EstiMate’s plug-ins, all of the most common substrates, paints, leafs, and sizes are included in the default database.
