3.46. Error when trying to import customer list from a text file?

I am trying to import my customer list as delimited text file into EstiMate using your import utility and I either get errors or if I do get it in there is extraneous data in some of the fields. What can I do now to import my customer list?

Unfortunately not all programs export text delimited data in a clean or consistent manner. The import utility is expecting data to be in a specific format, and if it is not then it may "choke" on the import process or display certain information incorrectly. You may wish to bring the delimited file into a spreadsheet program and review it. Two sure fire things to look out for are column headers being named correctly and the first row of data containing correct information, not extraneous data.

Another option: Upgrade to EstiMate 1.9 or greater as the import utility has been integrated into the software and improved to be more forgiving of data formatting issues.
