Home → EstiMate Version 1 → Error Messages & Behavioral Problems → Error: Invalid floating point operation?
There is someting in the program that is trying to divide by zero which will cause the Invalid floating point error.
There are 2 procedures that are recommended to resolve this problem:
1. Check to make sure your shop information has not been erased. Click Management->Configure EstiMate.
2. If the shop information is blank then fill it in and then click the 'walk me through the welcom wizard' button and input the information it asks for.
- OR-
1. Click management->Deep configuration and on each tab (except for the warning tab) click the green recycle symbol on the lower left. When you are done with each tab click the green checkmark on the lower right to accept the overall changes.
Digital Printing: Make sure the foil you are using on the quote has a "minimum square inch this foil must print" value of 1 or greater.
-OR-
1. On EstiMate 1.94 and above click the hammer icon on the pricing screen and check the configuration for blanks or zeros. If found, replace with a value other than zero. Versions of EstiMate pre-1.94 Click Management->Configure EstiMate.
2. Click Management > Configure EstiMate > Quantity Discounts. Make sure there are no blanks or zeros in the quantity discount fields.
3. Look at the shop info tab and make sure there are no blanks or zero values in the design, production time, or tax fields.
One of the above techniques should resolve the invalid floating point operation issue.
NOTE: If these procedures fail do the following:
1. Click Management->Configure EstiMate
2. Click the overhead worksheet button
3. Reduce the % of income you wish to see as profit to a value that is 99% or less.
4. Click OK
5. Back on the configuration screen, click OK again
This will solve your problem!
