3.34. Description for one estimate showing up on all?

When I print an estimate for a new customer the description for the previous estimate I did prints on it and all subsequent ones I do. What do I need to do to stop the old description from printing?

The problem is simply that the description is entered in the wrong location. Open any estimate and click Print > estimate. You will see the Print A Report screen appear. In the upper left hand corner you will likely see your description in the "title for estimates" field. Remove the description and insert a title you would like to refer to the document, such as "estimate", "bid", "quote" etc.

In the future add all descriptions specific to the estimate you are working on at the time in the description field provided on the estimate screen.

I like the EstiMate program because I can present my customers with a clear and concise printed estimate. If they do not like the price I quoted, fine! I know with ESTIMATE it is the price we need to charge in our shop to be in business and yes have profit left! I see now why you say "stop using your head." I no longer have to give my customers that "far away look" when they ask: "how much is it?" With the ESTIMATE program I feel confident in my pricing "SYSTEM". I was able to "groom" all of my material costs into the ESTIMATE program and then let ESTIMATE coordinate all those costs I used to miss.
