Home → EstiMate Version 1 → General FAQ → How is labor calculated?
In EstiMate labor is split in 3 ways: 1. Design labor. This is the labor calculation derived from the artwork complexity.
2. Production labor which is derived from the general difficulty level which is directly related to your production time for the job and 3. Profit Labor. By default, profit labor represents 20% of your hourly labor rate. Therefore, if you have a $100 hourly rate, it is split with $80 going to overhead and $20 going to profit. To view the percentage EstiMate has allocated for profit labor or to change the default percentage, go to Management > Configure EstiMate > Overhead Worksheet.
