4.27. How do I add wide format printer settings into EstiMate?

I have a wide format printer that is not in the list of printers that are preloaded into EstiMate how do I get my printer settings into the software?

In order to add your printer to the list of printers you will need to get some specifications from the printer manual or by contacting the manufacturer directly.

The specific information needed is:

1. The names of the print modes the printer supports.
2. The dpi resolutions the printer supports.
3. The amount of square feet or square metres per hour for each print mode.

Once this information is obtained the following steps can be taken to insert the information into the printers database.

1. From EstiMate's main screen click Edit data files > Inkjet printers > New.

2. Input the printers description in the description field (e.g. Roland Versacamm)

3. Click the plus sign next to dpi. The print mode description and settings grid will activate.

4. In the print mode description field erase the default 'draft' description and input the print mode name specified by your printer manufacturer.

5. Input the dpi range and print speed.

6. Repeat steps 3-5 until all available print modes have been entered.

7. Click the green ok check mark to save and exit the database.
