Home → EstiMate Version 1 → How Do I... → How do I make a price list for common items?
To create a pricing table for common items follow the method below:
1. Enter all items "such as printed T's or banners with
1,2,3,etc. colors." in the retail items data base.
2. When you are done entering items click the print icon in the retail items database. The print preview will appear and you will see all retail items including description, cost markup and selling price data.
3. Click the print icon and choose the "print to file option" (if supported) from your printer dialog screen. Choose the Excel .XLS file format as the type of file to print to. Click the print button and choose a name and location for the file to go on your computer.
4. Open the Excel application and open the retail items .XLS file you saved.
You will see all the items and prices exactly as they appeared on the print preview in step 2.
5. Alternatively you could create a new estimate and select the plugin(s) of your choice, i.e. Digital Printing, Screen Printed Garments etc. In the new estimate you would add as new line items the various common items you sell. You would keep this estimate in your open list and add to it as needed. When you are ready to print the list of items simply click print > estimate and follow steps 3,4, and 6 in this document to complete the remaining steps.
6. Re-organize the information in Excel to create the chart as you want the customer to see it. Eliminating the cost and markup columns if needed. Consult your Excel documentation for information.
7. To automate the process further, consider creating templates within EstiMate to quickly quote common sign work. This link will show you how:
