HomeEstiMate Version 1How Do I...How do I re-adjust my costs after a global cost update?

4.165. How do I re-adjust my costs after a global cost update?

I mistakenly added 12.5% tax to my cost figures when doing a global cost update. I try to re-do it but the update wizard does not seem to go below 0.0%. How do I re-adjust my costs downward after a global cost update?

The update costs globally function only works in a positive direction for costs starting at 0.00% and going upward. The choices available at the present moment to adjust for the 12.5% are:

1. Edit data files individually, changing cost information per ingredient.

2. Run the global update wizard again and SET markups to a point that is 12.5% less than their current value. I.e. if you have a group of ingredients that are marked up 100% set the markup for those ingredients to 87.5% thus compensating for the 12.5% that was accidentally tacked on
in the cost field.
