1.40. What do I do with EstiMate after upgrading Windows?

What do I need to do with EstiMate when I upgrade or install a new operating system on my computer?

As a first step it is strongly reccommended that you backup your data before installing the new operating system. To backup data from within EstiMate, click Management > Backup/Restore Data Files and click the backup button, select a location, name the file and click 'Save'.

Because you may need to re-install EstiMate after upgrading the OS, you will need to notate the 5-Digit ISN (Install Serial Number)that comes up on the Security Monitor screen when you first launch the software after the OS upgrade.

Ask for a Key Request Form from EstiMate by calling 828-274-7142. Notate the ISN on the Key Request Form, follow the remainder of the instructions listed on the form and fax it back to 828-274-4625 or email it to sales@estimatesoftware.com

An EstiMate representative will generate a key, notate it on the form and return it to you. Once you receive the key request form back, you can then copy the key number into your software and unlock it.
